It all started with a story.

Well, maybe it started with multiple stories. All from one man, Leon Myers, my grandfather. Leon was born in Cades Cove, and he loved to talk about it. He would tell anyone who would listen about the place where he grew up. If you ever met him while up in the Cove you would know.

My family and I grew up on stories of our family’s lives in the cove. From Aunt Hattie walking with Elenor Rosevelt through the Cove to my great grandmother, Nancy Garland Myers trading eggs for pencils and paper at the general store for school.

When we lost my grandfather in 2020, we decided it was up to us to keep the stories alive, but instead of just telling the stories we decided to bring them to life. So we started Cades Cove Vacations. Each property is a tribute to one of our family members who lived in the Cove and their story.
