  • Moonshine Ridge

    2 Bedrooms | 1.5 Bathrooms | Sleeps 6

The home puts a modern twist on what was a very basic cabin of the late 1800 and early 1900's in the Bearded Cane area of Cades Cove. The original cabin without electricity, plumbing, or a kitchen would not create a very welcoming Vacation. Instead, this renovated home features a modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops and a dining area with seating for 5. For entertainment the Garland kids often played with homemade toys and games. Today's Guests get a pool table and foosball for their enjoyment. We did add a second bedroom, because, let's face it, no one wants the kids in their room, and the Garlands had 11. Just as Mamaw used to talk about -- we included a sleeping loft for those extra kids to bring our total sleeping capacity to 6. In addition and definitely a modern convenience, we added a half bath and laundry area. No need to go outside or to the creek. On the outside, you can sit and relax on the front porch, enjoy the Hot Tub or roast s'mores in your private Fire Pit. We invite you to come, stay, and live the story of Mamaw Nancy's childhood home and life in the Cove in the early 1900's.
